Callao Salvaje is a small seaside village at the southern end of Costa Adeje, in southwest Tenerife, and its beach is Playa de Ajabo: about 100 m long and 20 m wide, made of pebbles, shingle and grey sand. It is a quiet base for travelers who want the Costa Adeje coast without the crowds of the big resorts, with the water gentle for most of the year according to the Tenerife tourist board.

Tips
- Do not expect to park at the beach: the tourist board lists no parking at Ajabo, and it marks disabled access as "No", even though ramps are mentioned among the facilities. No lifeguard service is mentioned on its page, so swim with care and ask at your hotel about current sea conditions. How to get there
The beach address is La Lava 12, 38678 Callao Salvaje. From Tenerife South Airport, the drive or taxi to Adeje takes about 20 minutes; direct buses also serve Costa Adeje, and the tourist board lists an inter-city bus service at Ajabo itself.
