Las Teresitas is a 1,300 m beach at San Andrés, on the edge of Santa Cruz de Tenerife, 80 m wide, with pale sand, breakwaters that calm the water and a lifeguard service (Tenerife tourist board, read 7 November 2026). It is the city beach of the capital: an urban bus runs to it, there are more than 100 parking spaces and disabled access, and it works as a half-day beach for anyone staying in Santa Cruz. The tourist board page for the beach lists no flag, unlike Playa del Duque or Las Vistas.

Tips
- Compare before you choose. Las Teresitas is longer than Las Vistas in Los Cristianos (850 m by 80 m) and than El Camisón in Playa de las Américas (350 m by 40 m), and it is on the capital's side of the island, with the Palmetum and the old town close by: see Santa Cruz de Tenerife and Palmetum. The Blue Flag beaches of the south are in the best beaches in Tenerife. For a day that also includes the capital in Carnival season, see Tenerife Carnival. Hotels in Santa Cruz are in the Booking box.
How to get there
Bus 910 runs from the Santa Cruz interchange (see Santa Cruz de Tenerife). The tourist board lists an urban bus service to the beach, easy access on foot, access by car with more than 100 parking spaces, and access by boat.
